Michael Hartmann
President
Michael S. Hartmann is the Founder and President of the Evidenz Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping families document loss and rebuild after catastrophic events. The Foundation was inspired by his family’s experience navigating a complex fire loss, insurance challenges, and the difficult process of rebuilding, which highlighted the critical need for better documentation, transparency, and support for affected families.
Michael brings over two decades of experience in data, analytics, and technology leadership, having held senior roles across retail, insurance, and consulting organizations. He specializes in enterprise data architecture, business intelligence, and modern data platforms, with a focus on transforming complex systems into actionable insights.
Through the Evidenz Foundation, Michael is committed to leveraging technology, data, and real-world experience to improve how families prepare for, respond to, and recover from catastrophic events, while advocating for greater transparency and accountability in the claims and rebuilding process.
Robert Maddalena
Treasurer
Robert Maddalena serves as Treasurer of the Evidenz Foundation, overseeing financial stewardship, budgeting, and reporting in support of the organization’s mission. He is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting transparency, and helping ensure responsible use of funds during the Foundation’s early stages.
Robert brings hands-on experience from his work in the power utility sector, where he has developed a strong foundation in field operations, safety, and infrastructure. In addition, he has been trusted by his peers to represent their interests in workplace matters, reflecting his commitment to accountability, advocacy, and supporting others—skills that translate directly to the Foundation’s mission.
As the Foundation grows, Robert is expected to transition into a Vice President role, where he will continue to support leadership, strategic coordination, and mission execution. He is dedicated to helping individuals and families impacted by catastrophic events, bringing a practical, grounded perspective to improving recovery outcomes and community support.
Michael Bearmore
Secretary
Michael Bearmore serves as Secretary of the Evidenz Foundation, where they are responsible for maintaining corporate records, supporting governance processes, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
Michael brings a strong background in operations, administration, and organizational management, with experience supporting executive teams and coordinating cross-functional initiatives. His attention to detail and commitment to transparency help ensure that the Foundation operates with integrity and accountability.
